Keeping a cool head
A Mill for temperature sensitive products Uncontrolled heat generation often results in unwanted properties when milling temperature sensitive products. Product temperatures must therefore be controlled and maintained at a constant level. Methods using liquid nitrogen or dry ice are usually chosen for this purpose. Frewitt has now equipped its hammer mill with a water cooled system.
PREPARING FOR A FUTURE WITH NANOPARTICLES
Known substances that are milled into nanoparticles take on new properties. Active ingredients increase their potency thus allowing better drug formulation and dosage for a more targeted fight to diseases.

Frewitt is going PinMill
The PinMill-Lab is a high performance PinMill designed for pulverizing hard or crystalline products down to a particle size (D90) of 10 μm.
Big performance in a small space
When it comes to optimising its mills, Frewitt puts the emphasis onsimpler and more flexible milling processes, multifunctionality andoptimal use of space. A multifunctional mill integrated in a Swiss pharmaceutical manufacturer’s isolator is a good example of how thisstrategy works in practice.
The future of milling is now
Five different milling heads give the FreDrive-Lab the ultimate in flexibility.
Why certain mills simply mill better
The time is half past eight on a Monday morning at Route du Coteau 7 in Granges-Paccot. The telephone rings. One hour later a Frewitt service technician is at the customer’s site. The distance from Fribourg (Switzerland) is about thirty minutes by car. Yet this is not the only reason why the pharmaceutical manufacturer chose Frewitt mills when adapting the milling process to Atex regulations.
