Committed to the improvement of patient care and the handing down of knowledge to future generations, Frewitt supports university pharmaceutical departments. We make our laboratory machines available to faculties and their students, enabling them to carry out diverse research projects and tests.Recently, a renowned center of academia, the University of Marburg, has had access to our nano mill machine, the FlexMill-Lab NW 100, to carry out its research.Find out how Frewitt’s nano machine has met all process expectations: “The NanoWitt is capable to achieve an efficient nanonization of quercetin regardless of the used speed and bead size. The possibility to operate with a lower speed is beneficial to avoid abrasion, consequently decreasing the chance of contamination of the product. […] Therefore, suspension temperature was constant below 18° C, which prevents product degradation.”For all the technical and scientific details, read without further ado the scientific paper below!Special thanks to the Philipps-Universität Marburg, Mrs Keck, Mr. Hartmann and Mr. Eckert!

Modular mills adapted without specifications
When planning complex systems these days, it's difficult to imagine not having a specification sheet, and mills for pharmaceutical production - which must guarantee a high OEB level and Atex conformity at the same time - are no exception. However, Frewitt's experience with a pharmaceutical contractor from the United Kingdom demonstrates that under certain circumstances, it can also work without.

A matter of ideas or: How grinding becomes as easy as 1, 2, 3 - Sometimes situations require us to reinvent the wheel. Taking another perspective, gaining new insights from an external user's perspective, or getting to the bottom of an issue, can help us to find an original solution with an existing product.
